Robert Davi is one of the definitive big screen tough guys. He's worked alongside stars like Marlon Brando, Bruce Willis and Danny Glover. He served memorably as the villain in movies like "The Goonies" and the Bond flick "Die Another Day."
But now Robert is returning to his roots and showing off his romantic side with his new album, "Davi Sings Sinatra: On the Road to Romance."
Robert tells he studied opera and voice extensively with some of the greatest instructors of all time and he's always had a passion for the vocal arts. And growing up in an Italian home, he says it was impossible to not love the songs of Caruso and Sinatra.
He explains why he turned to the famous Great American Songbook for this album and why he thinks it's America's version of Shakespeare. He describes the wonderful effect of America's immigrant culture on the most beloved songs of all time and why he thinks today's current economic and political climate is the perfect time to return to these standards.
