Posted 10:11am September 17th, 2009Marc - your site and it's message continue to inspire me to stay the course for my own dreams. Whenever I start the litany "how can I do this? I'm almost 60!" I tune in to GB one way or another.
BTW, lol - barefoot water skiing at 85, what a visual!

Posted 10:02am July 18th, 2009Thanks to all for your kind words of support. They mean the world to us because, as you know, we are swimming upstream. I can't begin to tell you the number of people who told us what we are already doing couldn't be done.
Of course, we are only the messenger. It's you, our members, who are the message. You deserve all of the credit.
To Ruth R.: Our apologies if we have, in any way, led you to believe that you have to be physically active to live the dream, to grow bolder, to be just as important and powerful as the most physically vivacious person alive.
If you look at the top of every page on our site, you will see this: It's about attitude. Growing Bolder is a state of mind. Growing Bolder is about celebrating the possibilities of life. Those possibilities are different for everyone. You obviously have your voice. And your words. You have internet access. You have found your way here. You can learn. You can encourage. You can motivate and inspire. You can make a difference in the quality of your life and others in endless ways.
We have many stories on our site about people who overcome obstacles of all kinds. You can find those stories here. We will continue to look for and tell those stories. Thanks for the reminder.
Marc

Posted 9:02am July 18th, 2009Hi Marc,
Really loved your interview and I applaud all the older people out there who can follow their dreams. There are many of, including myself, who have chronic illnesses that prevent us from doing just that...following our dreams....what about us?

Posted 3:49pm July 16th, 2009Hi Marc,
Wow! This show really knocked me off my feet! I had no idea your company produced such inspiring and intelligent media about real, unsung hero's, that we would never hear about otherwise. I love being a member of the Growing Bolder Community, and I thank you and your team for providing so many opportunities ( TV, Radio, Social Media etc...) for us to become more engaged and learn from each other. Every Thursday night, I love signing into Twitter for AgeOp. What fun!

Posted 11:30am July 16th, 2009Marc, you have captured the essence of what I've been preaching for years, and you've done so far more articulately and with video footage to boot. You are my hero.

Posted 11:23am July 16th, 2009What an inspirational piece this is! It should be "required viewing" for anyone who becomes a member of GB. I can't tell you how informative it was to me and how it encapsulated the belief system of Marc and the site team and the reasons for GB being what it is. While we all can't be like the people featured in the film clips, we CAN all aspire to be. Really great. Thanks for this jolt to my view of the future!

Posted 11:02am July 16th, 2009Great video...As I am currently taking the issue of 20+ yr job loss and the income with it, to one of following my real life long dream of writing music for film & TV and for recording artists. I would like to do singing for other artists and commercials, etc. and freelance writing. This video and GrowingBolder gives me renewed faith to pursue my dreams at my age of 57, rather than look for a job similar to what I never really enjoyed all of those years. Thanks for this effort! I love it!
