If you're looking for someone who's direct, blunt, straightforward and honest to a fault, look no further than actress Elaine Stritch. They just don't make them like this anymore.

She was born in 1925 and has been fighting her way through life ever since. She made her stage debut in 1944 and can still pack a house. She's always been known as a scene-stealer. Put her out there with anyone, it doesn't matter who, and all eyes will be drawn to Elaine.

But the tiger with the deep whiskey voice has had more than her share of ups and downs. She's been in as many gossip columns as playbills and was romantically linked with Marlon Brando, Rock Hudson, Gig Young and Ben Gazarra.

She's appeared in a number of movies and TV shows but never quite broke through to star status, but as she said on the Growing Bolder Radio Show, don't count her out just yet!
