As a newspaper journalist, Lee Bergquist knows a story when he sees one. And when he decided in his 40s that it was time to get off the couch and take control of his health, he was amazed at what he saw.
He found an entire community of people aging actively, older and faster than he had ever imagined. It struck a chord in him and he knew he was seeing an empowering message just waiting to be delivered.
Bergquist had been thinking about his own mortality, and looking for something that would motivate him to get in shape. He found that many others see working out as unfinished business, something they'd been putting off for years, only to finally realize the time is now. He details his journey in "Second Wind: The Rise of the Ageless Athlete."
