Posted 2:11pm October 29th, 2008Great story. I waxed nostalgic through the entire piece, especially when I saw the Slinky Dog.
The thing that struck me most was that all the kids were interacting face to face! They were playing together and enjoying it! In my opinion, that's what the children of today are missing. Face time. Rough and tumble time. I'm not talking about organized sports, dance, lessons of one kind or another. They have their palce. But I'm talking about games of tag, and running around the backyard with a ball. Shooting marbles together or playing jacks and jump rope.
Kudos for the exhibit, maybe it'll plant some seeds with the younger folks that the old ways are still fun and you don't have to go broke to help your children enjoy life.
