**Update: Sadly, Onie Ponder passed away on December 31, 2010 at the age of 112. She was the world's 21st oldest living person at the time. To learn more about her extraordinary life, click here.**
She's 110 years old and has voted in every Presidential election since 1920. Onie Ponder is one in a million. She's the oldest person in Florida and 86th oldest in the world. And she is still amazingly spry, witty and charming.
She may be breaking longevity records, but we're just as impressed by her life philosophy -- one that anyone at any age can and should strive to adopt: "I just love living every day and doing the best I can. It's a simple thing."
**Editor's Note: Since this story was produced, Onie has continued to smash records. When she celebrated her 112th birthday in September 2010, she became the 9th oldest person in the U.S. and the 23rd oldest person in the world!

Posted 8:01pm December 4th, 2008She is amazing. I would love to sit and talk to her about the 1800's. I have a passion for the fashion and lifestyle of people who lived those days. I am sure she could tell you some great stories. She is a Victorian Lady!

Posted 4:31am November 23rd, 2008It sounds like Onie has lead a wonderful and full life, and for 110, she's amazingly spry, both physically and mentally. Too bad that she hasn't written an autobiography to leave for her great grandchildren. Bill and the staff did another super job seeking out this young lady and presenting her story.
