The New York Times calls Dr. Norman Doidge's research "mind-bending, miracle-making, reality-busting stuff with implications for all human beings."

The book is called, "The Brain That Changes Itself," and in it, Doidge explains the science of neuroplasticity, which tosses out the centuries-old belief that the brain is fixed and unchanging.

In his book, Doidge gathered unbelievable case studies of people who astounded doctors. It details the cases of a woman who was born with half a brain that rewired itself to work as whole, people whose learning disorders were cured and blind people who learned to see.

Doidge explained to the Growing Bolder Radio Show how a brain is still a plastic, living organ with the capability of changing its own structure and function, even into old age.

He has gave practical tips that any of us can use to keep the wheels in our brain turning and evolving late into our lives.
