It's no secret that our society seems to be in the midst of an emotional meltdown.

From the economy to natural disasters across the world, there are a lot of things happening in the wold to bring us down.

Well-known psychiatrist Judith Orloff is the author of the international best-selling book "Emotional Freedom," and she says she keeps hearing the same thing from people across the country over and over again -- they're fearful, anxious and worried.

Judith says we need to have the kinds of tools necessary to deal with these feelings, and she believes everyone can learn to deal with these emotions, no matter what they're struggling with.

One of Judith's biggest pieces of advice is for people to learn ways to not take on all the stress in the world. Watching the news, for example, can make things seem much worse than they are and lead to feelings of helplessness.

She says we all need to learn to use energy management tools -- don't let world events or certain people in your life sap your own energy. She offers tips for moving on from "emotional vampires" -- those people who take more than they give.

Plus, find out about the growing trend of technodespair and learn how to unplug and set your priorities.

Judith says the most important thing to remember is that you can start at any time and start feeling better today.
