Posted 5:49am September 17th, 2009Hi Christine,
Good question, "Where;s AARP?" Answer, at the collar end of the leashes held by the health-care industry, as well as other for-profit self-interest groups. Awhile back, when it was time for AARP to stand up for American retirees, the denizens at AARP went along with the Cheney-Bush administraton and the health care industry to deny gap drug insuance for those retirees. The cover story (read, BS) was that AARP was going along to prevent fraud by Medicare recipients. Hmmm. Didn't realize those retirees had the power to criminally manipulate the Medicare health care system the way some doctors and clinics do. Not only that, but those righteous folks at AARP can even predict the future when it comes to retirees committing heinous crimes. Gosh, what power and foresight I say to myself as I sit here in wide-eyed wonder at the magnificence of those gods at AARP! Gee, thanks for keeping all those powerless people in check AARP! Adolf would be proud of you folks.
