We had such a great time.. I loved it, the Gaylord is such a nice hotel, and people so pleasant. It rained the whole weekend, but it was so much fun inside the Gaylord and Convention that I didn't notice! I caught up W/ Linda and Sue Ellen and they loved the gown.. The dancing so much fun..Food was great, service nice. I always enjoy my time w/ my red / pink hat sisters!

Thank you Sue Ellen and Linda, for making Red Hatting possible!

wonderful this is the only convention i have missed and i hate it but i had alot of damage to my home due to 3 storms so maybe next yr

The video was great but doesn't begin to show what an awesome time we all had in Orlando. I am so proud to be a part of this fantastic group of women! I have been a Red Hatter for 2 years, and this was my first convention. It definitely will not be my last. Kudos to all of the people who planned this event and especially to the FABULOUS entertainers who kept us singing and dancing for DAYS!

I look forward to nurturing the new friendships I made and, of course, attending many more conventions. Thank you Sue Ellen for buying that first RED HAT!

Just loved the video...what an excellent job Mark and his staff did capturing the "true" meaning of Red Hatting and "Sisterhood".....I wasn't able to attend this Convention but sure did enjoy seeing everyone having fun. I am the Founding Queen Mother of The Classy Sassies of Macon, Warner Robins, Forsyth, Lizella, Gray and Monticello, GA..Chapter #49192.....we will be 4 years old on 01/10/2009. Saw a few familiar faces from the QMB and the GABB..sure do miss Bama Sandra....please come to our board and say "Hey".........

Great video! Sue Ellen, I'm so happy you started this society. I didn't make it to this convention, but it looks like a fabulous time was had by all, as usual! I'm the Founding Queen Mother of the Crestline Crimson Belles, and we've been having fun Red Hatting for several years now. I see quite a few familiar faces from the QMB on the posts here...hi everyone! :)

The red hatters has brought my sister (who is 15 years older than me ) together for a special relationship. We finally have something in common!!! AND our now deceased mother would have loved it as she had red hair and loved the color purple.

Bravo,A great video/interview ..I've been a Queen Mum in the Red Hat Society for 5 yrs now and all I can say is, " WOW, what a ride it's been !" The concept of Celebrating life after 50 has indeed changed the lives of millions of women world wide. I effectionately call our Red Hat Sisterhood, Our Fountain of Youth".....It's humorus, healthy "Hatting" that we dearly enjoy...Thanks for sharig our story. I was there too with some girls from my chapter! The energy was high, food excellent and the entertainment top-knotch! I'm still "dizzy" from all the shopping :) We all made some new and lasting friendships and Sue Ellen was patient and had a little time for anyone who wanted to talk to her. I was left with the impression she loves us as much as we love her. Think of it as a big extension of one of your Red Hat get togethers! One of my ladies in my chapter "Redhatters In Purple Growing Old disgracefully Down Under" Meryl was with you all there and had a wonderful time she also brought a Photo of you Sue Ellen and your Vice Queen for us to see I did not Realize 20 years ago when I turned up to a function with Purple clothes and Purple Shoes that Sparkled and was given The Poem Warning by a young woman a couple of weeks later what a wonderful impact on my life it would have I love looking after my very large chapter "Queen Bee with an Attitude"---in Adelaide South Australia

EQM Sue Ellen Cooper, this was NO mistake. I hope to meet you in person one day soon and let you know how much LAUGHTER, FUN, & FRIENDS have come into my life because of a RED hat. Happiness is Wearing a Red Hat!!! The video was sure full of a "Decade of Sparkle" and to have been there must have been breathe taking. Words can't express my gratitude--I'm speechless... What a time we had! It was extraordinary......everything was perfect! We danced...we laughed...we dressed up.....and ate fabulous food!

How I wish I could have been there, but I won't miss next year's convention!! I have been a Queen for almost four years and am having the time of my life. I've met so many wonderful new sisters and experienced things I would not have without my Red Hat!! Thank you Sue Elle for making this mistake!! I love it!!

I missed the Orlando national, but I got to go to Nashville National last year.. If you never have been..you are missing the greatest treat on earth!! Red Hatting is the best thing you can do!! Just put on the bling and a red hat and enjoy yourself! Thanks for this blog and thanks for telling the world about us!!

Hi Simone Renwick of the Tasty Teas from Miami.

I also attended with my redhat sister Gail Packard, we had a marvelous time dressing up, and shopping for all the great RedHat stuff, an meeting all our RedHat sisters from all over the world who are just like us. Girls who wanna have FUN! and Fun we had!

This is a great experience for any woman who wants to put a bit of excitement and fun in their life. I plan on attending as many conventions as I can.

I WAS THERE! It was fun getting to 'play' for 6 days with red & pink hatters from all over the world! I've been in the Red Hat Society since 2001 and am the Queen Mother Hen of the Crimson Chicks in Florida. Thanks to EQM (Exalted Queen Mother) Sue Ellen Cooper for starting this outstanding 'disorganization' that enables each of us to enjoy life to the fullest in the company of hundreds of 'sisters'...we take having fun seriously!!

Princess Papparzzi from PA was at the convention and found it to be a great experience. What I enjoyed was having Sue Ellen and Linda so approachable ... they were just one of the girls having a lot of fun! Both of these ladies are really nice and are grateful that those women who have embraced Red Hatting are truly having a ball after 50!

Great video!! I love Red Hatting! Don't ever let anyone tell you are old because of a number. Some ladies don't even begin to live until they reach 50 and find their lives filled with love, laughter and RED HATTITUDE!!!

I was there!! What a great time! This was my 2nd convention and it is always a thrill to see so many red hats in one place. And the Gaylord Palms was a beautiful place to hold this. The Red Hat Society is a wonderful entity for us "mature" gals to kick up our heels and enjoy life.

Thank you for sharing our Red Hat story. We were destined to meet up with CEO Marc and his staff. Their Website is full of joy and enthusiasm... just like us Hatters! For 18-years, I told everyone that I was 38 and was determined to stay there… Sorta like the late Jack Benny’s saga.

Three years ago I joined the Hatters and because Momma taught me right, I could not rightfully wear PINK! What to do? So I proudly wore RED and told everyone that I was 51-years... for about a month!

“Oh, to heck with it,” I said, told the truth and BOLDLY state that I’m now 61… as all of my classmates from high school will attest to that!

It didn’t take long for me to be comfortable with my age… Plus, it’s fun bragging about it!

Thanks you EQM-Sue Ellen and EVQ-Linda for getting us all dressed up to go play… Say, where’s my kazoo? I feel a birthday song is about to be played…

Love the clip of the convention. It's nice to have someone share the Red Hat Society with the rest of the world. So many people wonder "what we are" but will never ask.

iT IS A GREAT WAY TO SHARE OUR SISTERHOOD.

You can have the time of your life.

The Red Hat Society knows how to put on a good time.

You become a different person. It is all about FUN!!!

I've had my chapter for a little over 2 years now and all the girls in it are very close and have a bond like no other. I also have a wonderful bond with sisters all over the world by posting on the Queen Mother Board. Orlando was a fantastic time; I encourage all ladies who love to enjoy life to come out and join us!!

Great video. I am so glad that they mentioned pink hatters. So often there is no mention of us. Pink Hatters are the next generation of red hatters so we have lots of teachers. I smiled all the way through this video. I am the Queen of my chapter in Victoria, BC Canada.
