Kathy McManus was on the right track to success and she had the awards adorning her wall to prove it. But the award-winning broadcast journalist realized there was something else she and everyone else should be doing. And that took her on a whole different path.

McManus started the "Responsibility Project" with one TV commercial when she decided that everyone has a major responsibility to each other.

Although it's a hard task to undertake, she accepted the challenge because she says many people hesitate to help others despite knowing the great reward that comes with it. McManus is using her journalistic background to promote the project by writing blogs and trying to use TV to get the message out.

She talks with Growing Bolder about how to get the project exposure and what she thinks about the future of TV news.
