James Hollis, Ph.D., a Jungian analyst and the author of more than a dozen books, says he wants to help people achieve the single most important task of the second half of their lives -- discovering their truths.

In his new book, "What Matters Most: Living a More Considered Life," Hollis teaches readers how to have the wisdom to find their individual truths and the courage to live that truth.

He says we all have a tendency to lose contact with our own internal guidance system and our instincts over the course of our lives. He wants people to learn to trust their dreams, feelings and hopes.

He considers the second half of life a reclamation project.

He cautions that doesn't mean you should reject your values, commitments or the  people in your life. It just means that you should examine them all with a new eye and figure out which ones are consistent with the life you should be living.

Hollis calls it a recovery of your self-respect.

Listen to the interview and learn more about making the second half of your life the best part of your life.
