We all have a tale to tell, and that's the premise of NPR's Story Corps. We take you inside an amped up Airstream that's a one-of-a-kind time capsule and it's helping people across the U.S. leave a priceless legacy for future generations.

Posted 12:09am July 11th, 2009So Well Remembered was a talk my mother gave to a ladies club on November 10, 1970 which I just transferred to CD for my great-grandchildren. She was 76 when she recorded her early memories.
I am in the slow process of scanning early photo albums into the computer for CD distribution to my family. They may even see the light of day on JWCareyPhotos.com.
Unanswered is the question, "Will they ever show enough interest to look?" Time will tell.

Posted 11:40pm February 22nd, 2008I wish that my mother and father had left more written or recorded things about their life behind. My dad loved photography and thank goodness we do have quite a few pictures, but now we ask..."what is the story behind some of those pictures."
The Story Corp is a marvelous concept. Even if someone doesn't take advantage of Story Corp, they should think about leaving something meaningful behind for the kids and grandkids.
