Next to the Titanic, the sinking of the luxury Italian liner the Andrea Doria may be the most famous nautical disaster of all time.

When it sunk 51 years ago, more than 50 people lost their lives. Among the survivors were David and Louise Hollyer, who swam through shark-infested waters just to get to a lifeboat.
