Description

Remember those cool old Schwinns with only a couple gears and a sharp-looking frame? Not only does Fred Mathes remember them, he's still getting a lot of use out of one.

At 92, Fred is far from slowing down. He gets around town on his 56-year-old Schwinn with nearly 40,000 miles on it. He says what else do you need in life other than freedom and fresh air in your face.

He says his old bike only has three gears, but then again, he never understood why people needed so many gears.

Find out what Schwinn sent him when he offered up his beloved bike -- free of charge -- for an advertising campaign. Plus, the Shakespeare-quoting philosopher has advice for how he's kept his wife of 67 years happy.
