Arnold Palmer burst onto the scene at the same moment that televised golf was finding its way into American living rooms. Palmer didn't play golf, he attacked it. He quickly became a national folk hero and is credited with popularizing golf worldwide. Arnold doesn't play much competitive golf anymore, but as we found out, he still has plenty of game.

Molly, you are so right about Arnie being a fantastic roll model for the community.  His hard work and generosity has certainly made Central Florida a better place to live.  Not only is he generous, but he is gracious and warm hearted.  He is a pleasure to be around, and freely shares his many life experiences. I had the pleasure to be around him serveral times when he and Greg Norman sponsored the "Shark Shootout" to benefit the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.  What a wonderful cause, and he just keeps giving of himself to improve and expand these needed health service in our community.  God Bless Arnold Palmer.

What a wonderful role model and gift to our community! It's great to hear about a high achieving guy who has found "giving back" his greatest achievement of all.
