Angie Washo is a trailblazer; the first woman and only amputee ever to compete in the AlCan Road Rally. Remarkable that two years before, her leg was severed when a hit and run driver hit her motorcycle. She remembers every detail of the crash, but refuses to let it slow her down.

Posted 3:50pm February 15th, 2009Hi Angie, Great story. I just started riding again at 43 years old. I ride a sport bike and I do not see alot of women our age riding sport bikes. I agree with you that people are always saying One day... I will do such and such, and before you know it your life has passed you by. I admire your adventerous spirit. I would like to try something like that AlCam. If you have any info, please let me know at coolied@bellsouth.net Thank You Jacki
