Posted 12:24 pm August 21st, 2008Parents can be the worst or best part of youth sports. The best coaches work both sides to be sure expectations are reasonable. They are up front about their methods and style. Isn't it interesting that athletes like Wendy always seem to have a clear perspective as far as raising their children with a healthy sports outlook!

Posted 1:26 pm August 14th, 2008I agree with Wendy, parents should not force their Kids into sports. The kids have to enjoy what they are doing and want to do it for themself, not because Mon & Dad said you will be a sports star. Mom and Dad need to be supportive and strong but not over bearing and dictators. Any one who is outstanding or a super star at whatever they do enjoy it. Len C
