Jeff Galloway is a former Olympic marathon runner who is convinced that he can get someone right off the couch and have them running a marathon within 6 to 9 months. He has come up with a method that is not only safe, but so empowering that it is changing lives everywhere.
Jeff says he's had 250,000 people go through his program and at least half never ran before. The method is called Run, Walk, Run. He says it has worked wonders for youngsters battling childhood obesity, but that it is also tailor-made for people over 50 who know they need to become more active but just can't find the motivation on their own to do it.
He says he knows the whole idea of a marathon can not only be intimidating, but downright frightening. But he says he's seen the Run, Walk, Run program take the fear away and replace it with such a strong feeling of self-empowerment that people are doing things they never dreamed possible.
