Charles Modlin is the fastest 82-year-old in the world. And he has the gold medal to prove it! But winning the 100-meter sprint in the National Senior Game and setting records in the 100, 200, 4000 meter sprints and the long jump just wasn't enough for Modlin.
He tells Growing Bolder his secret to fitness -- he's 5'11" and 150 pounds, so he knows what he's talking about.

Posted 12:22pm December 1st, 2010Charles was my father and enough cannot be said about him and my mother. Through their actions they taught all of their children what can be accomplished in life. Both of them fought and overcome all types of odds. My mother passed away on 2/27/03 and sadly my father passed away 8/13/10. Their lessons will never be forgotten by their children and thanks to you many others will also have the opportunity to learn and grow from them as well.
Thanks.
