Sumi Onodera-Leonard is living proof that anything is possible with determination and pluck.

In November 2003, the 76-year-old World Masters Track Champion was in a head-on car crash that left her two dogs dead and put Sumi in a coma.

Days later, she awoke and told doctors who thought she'd never walk again that she wanted to race again.

Now, at the age of 79, she has made it back on the track.
