Editor's Note: Trent Lane died at his home at the age of 101. In this years since we conducted this interview, he continued to remain active and set new records.

Trent Lane is not your average 95-year-old. Heck, he's not your age 40-year-old!

Between tending to his 25-acre farm near Baton Rouge, La., which includes mowing and clearing brush and trees on his nature trail, he's also flying his own single-engine plane and pursuing a Ph.D. in physics.

Plus, he holds five national Track and Field records and several world records in the javelin and discus.

He talked to Growing Bolder about his active, full life and how he returned to athletics after a "70-year leave."

Isn't it wonderful to know that we can be active and have fun at any age.  God is our strength.   I pray to keep healthy. I want to play ball well into my nineties!  Mickey sings. (: >.
