You could say that Margery Meyer took to swimming like a fish to water. 

After taking up swimming in her mid-60s, she is ranked No. 1 in the nation in four swimming events in the 80-84 age group. 

She says she loves distance events because she finds that the longer she swims, the more energy she gets.
