This is a '65 Chevrolet BelAir that my mother bought new. I got my driver's license in it, went on my honeymoon in it, and started my business out of the trunk of it in 1974. On June 20, 2009, we drove my mothers cremains from KY to WV in her old Chevy.

Posted 4:27pm June 23rd, 2009I admire anyone who was able to hang on to their first car. It's cool when you have it long enough that it stops depreciating and starts appreciating. That's not easy to do.

I got my driver's license in the car, went on my honeymoon in it and started my business out of the trunk of it in 1974. It's been on a number of antique car tours and now has (6/22/09) a little over 174,000 miles on her. On 6/20/09, we drove my mother's cremains from KY to WV in her old Chevy so that she could be buried next to her mother.
