William Randolph is living proof that it's never too late to achieve your lifelong dream -- no matter how extreme that dream may be.

William, who has been piloting planes since the 1940s, always dreamed of flying solo around the world. So, at the age of 76, two years after beating throat cancer, he decided it was time to finally chase that dream.

First, he built his own single-engine plane, then he took off to circle the globe, traveling 27,000 nautical miles over 30 counties and 6 continents.

Now 83, William is writing about his adventures in his new book, "Flight of a Lifetime."

William tells us he just looked at "that cancer business" as a motivating thing to finally push him to fulfill his dreams.

He shares stories from his unbelievable trip around the world, including several arrests, a fire and being intercepted by fighters over the Mediterranean Sea.

William also offers his advice for others wanting to launch their own adventures and reveals what other feats he'd like to accomplish.
