Many people are interested in photography. Some specialize in portraits, others landscapes. Taylor Lockwood specializes in -- are you ready for this? -- mushrooms! His hope is once you see his work you'll not only understand why, but that you'll also see fungi in a whole new light.

Find out how he went from an aspiring musician to the rock star of the mushroom world. What a long, strange trip it's been. No, really! His quest for rare mushrooms takes him all over the world, and his photographs and videos have made mushroom fans in some unexpected places.

If you'd like to learn more about Taylor, be sure to check out his web site, and be sure to tell him Growing Bolder sent you!

Finding our purpose. We might find it when we're young or we might find it in midlife. Our purpose might be main stream or not. We might find it when we let go of what we thought we "should" be doing. This is one of my favorite stories of finding purpose and I love during the conversation Taylor Lockwood is referred to as the "Johnny Appleseed" for mushrooms. There are some really beautiful mushrooms in our world! I'm certainly more appreciative of their beauty than I was before.

I too am a mushroom (fungi) lover. I take pictures of them on every walk in the woods. Thank you for doing meaningful work to make the world appreciate this little lowly growing thing that so many people either distroy or never take any notice of.
