So many of us in life have no idea what we’re capable of until something happens that forces us to go to where we never dreamed we could. That’s what happened to Glenn Fenster, and his life has done a complete 180.

Glenn’s son Nyle has childhood epilepsy, and Glenn felt totally helpless. He watched his son suffer and struggle. Nyle never complained, and Glenn was awestruck by his son’s courage.

Glenn had to do something, so he dedicated his life to making others aware of this little-understood disease, even if he had to get on a bicycle and ride across the U.S. and Canada to do it.

So that’s what he’s done -- ridden 100,000 miles over the last 10 years. He's just wrapped up his fifth annual cross-country trip, riding from Miami to Alaska. We checked in with Glenn on the road in New Mexico and he told us that he's dedicating this year's ride to all the people who work tirelessly to help loved ones with epilepsy, who work hard to end the stigma and those who are researching to find a cure.

"I might be in the middle of nowhere but my reach is global. It's not about where you are, it's about where you are going. I believe I am making a difference," he told us.

Glenn shares how technology is making this trip much more meaningful than past trips and what the toughest part of his long journey is.
