It's considered the most famous shot in Stanley Cup history. It happened in overtime of Game Four of the finals. On May 10, 1970, the incredible Bobby Orr gave the Boston Bruins their first Stanley Cup in 29 years. The instant Orr shot the puck, St. Louis Blues defenseman Noel Picard tripped Orr, triggering the second-greatest shot in Stanley Cup history, the shot through the lens of the photographer for the Boston Herald. It shows Orr, flying through the air, horizontal to the ice with his arms stretched out in elation. The photograph is considered the most famous and recognized hockey image of all time.
