Posted 12:52am March 10th, 2009Hi Rosy Posy - what's this Australia ? (sly grin)- I live in New Zealand in a Central Otago town Cromwell. We covered the brollies with crepe paper flowers which took hours and hours and also our Princess of Spring sitting up high on the float had her robe covered in the crepe paper blossoms also. Our day started out cold and wet and hail and snow showers. The parade was postponed for a couple of hours while the rough weather went through. Those feather boas are very warm!
I've had look at your great float photos and the brollies in purple and red look wonderful. This would have saved us a lot of work if we could have got hold of these!

Posted 12:22am March 10th, 2009I Love this photo! We used red and purple umbrellas in our Parade, too, and it was very lucky we did, as it showered all morning! We had a lot of fun preparing and we still remember the good time we had together.__Queen Rosy Posy
