Check this out for a glimpse of the embodiment of the counterculture in their natural habitat. For 40 years much of the focus has been on the performances with occasional crowd shots scattered throughout.

Now, more attention is being paid to personal rememberances and personal accounts of what it was like to be at the most talked about musical event in history. Here is a bit of a taste of the Woodstock environment, looking at the people who attended. Tie-die, tents, buses, dirt and more dirt! Part of what being a hippie was all about!
