I'm a 52 yr old male living in New Hampshire. I am Honored to care for a small pack of Pure Gray Timberwolves. I have the Alpha female & her two pups. *8 1/2 yrs ago I saved the alpha female from being shot. Her mate, the alpha male was shot & killed the day before I got there. The past owners had them chained at the neck with a car tow chain, inside a 6x6 foot pen. Only time the wolves saw anyone was feeding time when they tossed food onto a very dirty ground, with filthy water. The male was shot because he was showing aggression. Come to find out just after I rescued the female, She was with litter. Of course the Alpha male was going to show aggression toward anyone because he was protecting his mate and soon to be family. In short he was KILLED for doing his job. The Alpha female passed away this pass January. I was Honored to have had her for all these years. So now I have her pups with me, Askhim and his sister Dusty Spirit. Both 8 yrs old and doing great.
My other love is Motorcycle riding. I have a 98 Harley Heritage springer Softail. I ride better then 20,000 miles a yr. Love back road touring, Meeting new people & riders. So if you see me, Say Hi & lets shoot the bull for a bit.

Posted 6:14pm July 13th, 2009JCB. Thanks so much for your kind words. It was never a question of should we help the pack, it was, Your coming home with us to live as free with out chains to hold you down, maybe behind a fence but free to walk and run. To this day. we treat them as tho they lived in the wild the best one can being held behind a fence. The Alpha male has really grown into his part after the passing of his mother. He is my true sole mate. When I enter his pen, He runs to me and rubs, I have to bend over so he can rub my hair till his scent is all over me. Then he's happy. His sister Dusty also rubs my body but never covers his scent. In the next day or two I'll post new picture of the wolves, please check them out when you have time. As to getting lost, One never knows where my bike and I will end up. Georgia is close enough for a coffee ride. Last ride that way was to W.V. all because I wanted a cup of coffee. So one never knows, even me.
Have a Great Evening keep in contact and talk to you soon.

Posted 4:42pm July 13th, 2009I appreciate, more than words can express, your kindness in adopting the wolf pack. You've won my heart, trust and respect. I don't ride bikes and will probably never have a chance to say hello personally--- unless you get lost and come through Georgia, but did want to thank you.
