The Fallen Senator.

I can't begin to express my sadness as to the news of the destruction of that magnificent old tree.....The Senator.... located in Big Tree Park off of 1792 in Seminole County.I have lived here since 1959 and it was the first place my family went to visit .It was 3,500 years old and was one of 3 oldest trees in the united states. It is suspected arson. I can't understand why someone would want to burn it down. Makes no sence to me at all ,but then again nothing makes much sence in this crazy sick world we are living in.
What a shame.It was a wonderful school field trip for children to go on  and just to go visit  as a family.It will be one less original  part of the old Florida that alot of us grew up with.
I wonder if Big Tree Park name will now be changed.
I'm sad and mad as hell over this.
Hope the person or persons get caught and made to pay for this foolish crime.
