Who Was Ruth Hamilton?

The World's Oldest Blogger
Some people gain notoriety just for living a long life. But Ruth's life was simply amazing, even to the very end. Ruth died in January, 2008, just three months shy of her 110th birthday. She was the World's Oldest Blogger, just the final accomplishment in a storybook life. Please take a moment to read some excerpts from her autobiography and blogs written about her, to watch video stories and the video blogs she recorded herself. Her age made her noteworthy, her life made her remarkable.

What an inspiration this woman was and is, even in death.  I'm sorry that, of all the healthcare facilities in which I've performed over the years, I did not visit Lutheran Towers and get the opportunity to meet her.  I would have loved to have met her.  There aren't many people who can say they've lived in 3 different centuries!

Thank you, Growing Bolder, for bringing this phenomenal woman into our homes and hearts.  Without this site so many people would never have known about her.  She's definitely a 'most unforgettable character', even for those who never met her.

I viewed everything in Ruth's media file this evening.  She was an amazing woman.  One of Ruth's favorite words was "wonderful".  It also happens to be one of my favorite words.  It would have been wonderful to have met Ruth in person and had the opportunity to talk with her.  I'm looking forward to reading everything Growing Bolder has in print format and audio on the extraordinary Ruth Hamilton.
