Not only was a 94-year-old woman the oldest person to compete at the recent waterskiing U.S. Nationals, Lucille Borgen blew everybody away. She survived polio as a child, cancer as an adult and a few years ago, she completely lost vision in her left eye.

All hail the queen of the pool. Rita Simonton, 90, was the star of the recent US Masters Swimming Championships, smashing six national and world records.
