      Sunday Around Camp...

Last evening, Fannie and the camp setup crew took a little time and went down to the creek and were able to observe 5 bears out by the meadow, feeding on sedge grass. Hard to determine which bears, as they still carry their thick winter coats. There was a chill in the air, so when they got back to camp, the cook had the fireplace going and was making popcorn and hot chocolate.

      Tuesday afternoon

John took 2 people on a day-trip hike and they saw 2 bears in the meadows. They walked back through Nancy's Trail and soon the bears appeared on our side of Nancy's Trail, and they were following the people to see where they were going. Then all of a sudden, the bears went up into the bushes and could no longer be seen. It was a wonderful day of guided sightseeing.
