It's believed that the world's oldest living dog is now a 20-year-old blonde wire-haired daschund named Chanel. Chanel lives in Port Jefferson Station, New York with her owner Denice Shaughnessy, a retired Army veteran who adopted Chanel in 1988.

We learned at the recent Surf Expo that riding the waves isn't just for kids. It 's becoming a sport for life. That had us wondering, who are the pioneers, the role models for senior surfing? We knew there had to be some -- and we weren't disappointed.
