      Poems

Now and then, I’m going to do something different; I’m going to post a poem. Most often they are poems of love wanted, love attained and love lost. After all, love is one on the most universal emotions. Even the seemingly most introvert, the most quiet and subdued has love coursing through their views, whether admitted or not. Here’s the first one....

The Road Not Taken - by Robert Frost

This is, no doubt, one of my favorite poems. Also, it is one that is often recited, or at least portions of it quoted. The Road Not Taken by Robert Frost Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,And sorry I could not travel bothAnd be one traveler, long I stoodAnd looked down one as far as I couldTo where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair,And having...

"How do I love thee? - Browning

For the love of my life and girl of my dreams (and lovers everywhere): How Do I Love Thee - Elizabeth Barrett Browning - How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight For the ends of Being and ideal Grace. I love thee to the level of every day’s Most quiet need, by...

      Another poem - Invictus

Here is a poem that is rarely read in full, but the last two lines have been quoted time and again. I think many can identify with it. Think of it as pressing on when things get gloomy; think of it as perseverance; think of it as the human’s indomitable spirit. William Ernest Henley. 1849–1903 Invictus Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole,...

      Your elsewhere space

The quiet moment before dawn I cherish, you asleep and near me, close, but now a bit estrange, as light has not yet found your face. I watch you in your elsewhere space that I can never share with you. I love you deep, in latest moments of the night.

      Dying on your island

Be not alone in years to come, as haunting thoughts might kill you nights and ferries go but won’t return. Be not afraid if life takes off. A grey day that won’t have a night, you close your eyes and that is all. But have someone to hold your hand, if I can’t be there, someone else, and go in quiet blossom rain.

      What is time

What is time, it has passed where our footsteps ended, and moved on to beyond what we can see. Like in the red of the setting Sun, we are never there. We can not grasp the mere beginning of it all, we are somewhere in the middle of never and ever, and we are falling deeper and deeper in the pit that is time.

SHE WAS A PHANTOM OF DELIGHT - William Wordsworth

The following is for the love of my life and girl of my dreams, and lovers everywhere. SHE WAS A PHANTOM OF DELIGHT - William Wordsworth She was a Phantom of delight When first she gleamed upon my sight; A lovely Apparition, sent To be a moment's ornament; Her eyes as stars of Twilight fair; Like Twilight's, too, her dusky hair; But all things else about her drawn From...

      After you

I think a while you were the ghost who lived with me and my two cats, the grey one scared of you the most and one indifferent to the world. The room you’d painted blue before had been a place for both of us, ‘t was where we found our ways and more through paths inside the other’s mind. And here it was where we made love as if our love was still alive, as if you could still find...
