Time and me
Before there was time, there was my childhood. Before there was time there was my innocence. Before there was time there was only now. I did not search for time or knew of its existence.
When there was time, there was my youth. When there was time, it raced before me.When there was time, then there was tomorrow. I knew of time but I never could catch it.
Now there is time and there is...
Bible is many things. Depending on your religious convictions or lack thereof,
it is a book of history, it is a book of genealogy, it is a book of conjecture
and speculation, it is a book of dreams, it is a book of belief, it is a book
of exquisite writings and it is a book of wisdom. Whether one believes in it
literally or not, one cannot escape the fact that portions of it permeate...
Not enough time
everyone else, I often say i don't have enough time - enough time to do all I
want, enough time to help others when asked, enough time to fit everything into
my daily routine. That seems ludicrous
on the face of it. I'm retired, and time
is what I was supposed to have enough of, in fact, too much of. It's supposed to be time on my hands to be
spent like the golden coins in a...
Not enough time

Time does not wait... (A Poem by moi)
Time does not Wait…by Vanessa Chesters
Her wish for them is they will live out their dreams,And that they dream big. That their lives are not filled with “Things”,That they embrace what life brings. That they sore through life and learn to spread their wings.
Time does not wait…
She sits in her chair and reminisces of time that has since past,She can’t go back and wishes that those...
Are You Ready for the New Year? Do You Suffer from the No Time Syndrome?
Excuses for not exercising each day abound. Maybe the excuse involves an injury, or a medical condition, or a dislike of gym, or the absence of a spouse to walk with, or a job that involves travel. One excuse, though, crops up more than any other: there just isn’t enough time! As a chronic user of this excuse, I can write about it as an expert. For most of my adult life, I could never find the...
"Oh Dear! Oh Dear! I Shall be Late!"
“Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late!” (From Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland)
“Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back.”- Harvey MacKay
There are countless quotes and references to time. Most of these references relate to how we use our allotted time in this...
Travelling in time
Much has been written of time
travel, mostly in science fiction. A few
scientists have written about the possibility of traveling in time, but it
isn't even at the hypothesis level.
Personally, I don't think time travel is possible. If it were, why haven't I seen anyone around
from the future? Not once in the 70 or
so years that I have been alive has anyone from the past or future...
Whoa - slow down
was much younger, an older woman, the mother of a friend, said, "John,
there is a 45 year old woman trapped in this 75 year old body." I gave the
polite and perfunctory nod and agreed that was true although privately I
dismissed it. After all, if you are 70
or 75 then that is what you are and so be it.
But as I grew older something strange started happening. My body started...
Slip sliding away
Carol from my high school maintains a school newsletter for those of us who have graduated, be it last year or decades ago. A while back I received a newsletter that came with somewhat of a jolt. There was a brief period when I didn't receive the newsletter but never realized it was missing. Although it never appeared in my mailbox for a while, so many other things were going on that I didn't...
