Fannie, our Camp Manager, has a new friend...a white wolf, that seems to want to follow her everywhere. Same wolf that has been seen with the bears on the shore. More on this soon...

Fannie and Morty were out hiking today and came across this wolf print...a really BIG wolf print! See the size of Fannie's show next to the paw print. Wonder if this print belongs to Fannie's white wolf?

A new addition to our wildlife around Camp last summer was a beautiful white wolf. We named her Sikis, which is an Aleute word meaning Friend:

Trip to Swikshak Bay via Nancy's trail this AM, adolescent bear was clamming at 200 yards from shore the entire time. Very dark bear came down to tide flat halfway to Big River at 10:30 AM. Raven and seagull served as refuse worker for a bear closeby. No critters on meadow this afternoon, though tracks galore on the main trail: moose, bear, wolf. Maybe Fannie's white wolf?
