When she was in her 40s in the early 1990s, Tammy Weiler looked around and saw that a lot of people her age were single and actively dating. The problem was, no one was paying them any attention.
So, she saw an incredible opportunity to cater to the Boomer market and launched Singles Travel International. She focused on people afraid of taking the first step and helped them realize it's OK to go on vacation alone.
Now, 15 years later, she's still helping the estimated 70 percent of single Boomers who say they're actively dating find love and adventure on the high seas.
Tammy says the downturn in the economy means there are and will be some great travel specials to watch for, especially weekend getaways for as low as $500 to $700.
