      In the meadow yesterday we observed a juvenille bear digging for clams on the tidal flats. Beside him at approximately 50 feet was a fox digging for clams as well. They worked at this for quite awhile being very successful and consuming many clams. After some time, the bear and fox were getting closer and closer until they were only feet apart.
