In 1968 while Joplin, Hendrix, the Doors and Jefferson Airplane were singing about sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll, Bobby Goldsboro was singing about "Honey." After a career in which he sold more than 35 million records, hosted a national TV show, wrote six best-selling children's books and produced a national PBS show, you'd think the soon-to-be 70 Goldsboro would be winding down. Think again.

Posted 5:47pm March 25th, 2010I turned 60 last August & I think Bobby's music & other Artist's music of my teenage era was & is still the Best. I've always enjoyed music that I could sit & listen to, that I can feel & understand the words & music. I mainly enjoy what they call the Oldies, Country Western, Christian Music. I'm now enjoying some Blue Grass & even have expanded to some Opera. I can listen, enjoy & remember where I was during these music venues & I'm happy in my skin. Over the years while my kids were growing up there was a lot of garbage music that made my skin crawl & I couldn't even listen to it, but as funny as it may seem my son changed his music that he listened to & I found him listening to my old LP's. He actually went through the rebel stage with the music he had been listening to & he grew up a lot during his conversion listening to my LP's. I'm glad I had kept all those 45's & LP's.

Posted 2:16pm March 18th, 2010Bobby, I remember your music, 'cause I turned 70 last year (2009) and your stuff was of my generation. You were a great singer and now even a greater artist. Well, I suppose that both music and painting are art forms, so you're a many faceted artist.
You and your wife, Dianne, are great representatives of "decent" people who have a depth of character few have in our present age. May God bless you and grant you a long, productive and fulfilling life.
