Posted 11:58am September 12th, 2009I don't know what that 'thing' is that separates those with talent from those amazing artists who leave audiences wowed, wanting more. I don't know what it is or where you find it. I do know Mike Galloway and present partner Tim Kelliher, (Galloway-Kelliher), have it. And, It comes in the form of Blues-Hootchie Cootchie-Bee Bop-Hard Hittin Southern Rock, A kind of Molly Hatchet meets Keb Mo and Ted Nugent kind of thing. If you have not had the opportunity to see these guys play take the time to find them. Better yet buy thier CD. You won't be disappointed.

Posted 9:20am September 8th, 2009The first time I heard Mike Galloway play music, he was playing the drums in one of our first Jr. high school bands. Mike later picked up the harp and decided to stick with it but he still likes to beat on the drums from time to time. Around the age of sixteen, Mike gave me my first harp because he knew I liked to play music, mainly the horn back then. I carried that harp with me every where I went for years. I even loaned it back to Mike one night during a concert in Orlando when he talked a stage hand into letting him come up and blow the harp while they set up the stage for the head liner band. Needless to say, Mike blew the place away with his harp playing so much that the next band just jumped right in and let him play for over 30 minutes. You have to remember, it was the 70's so I don't recall to many details from the show!
Because of Mike Galloway, I been playing the blues on my harps for over 40 years now and my love for the blues and Mike Galloway just keeps growing more & more every year we get a little older. Mike Galloway Is and Always will be the best damn harp player in my book.

Galloway has been in these parts for many years. Used to sit in with my rock band in the early 70s. Bump into him from time to time and he has not changed except for the better!!! Hi Mike - a pleasure to see you here!

Posted 1:45pm August 27th, 2009Mike's music is every bit as good, if not better, than most of the pop artists who make the big bucks. I can't even understand what half of the others are singing about but I know exactly what Mike is saying. I believe he'll make it one of these days! Pompanojack.
