Ginger loved to sing, so at mid-life she took a risk and decided to become a full-time performer. She started writing music, and after years of searching for fulfillment, she finally found it. She just never expected her music to strike a chord with the audience it did.

I just want to say that I am constantly amazed at the reactions I get from people regarding what I do.  I never thought of myself as being 'special' because of my talent....millions of people can sing.  But after all these many years of performing in venues that range from nursing homes to cultural centers, I've come to realize that God had given me more than just the gift of my voice.  He has given me the ability to touch people's lives with it.  That means the world to me and I'm continually thanking Him for it.

And I also thank each of you: my family, close friends, fellow GBer's, and everyone who has been in my audiences over the years, for taking a moment to remind me of what a precious gift it is.  Your compliments and praise are what keep me going during the tough times when it seems like things are falling apart.

May God bless each and every one of you, and know that your words have great impact on my life.

    Ginger!

Wow. I just watched your video. Marvelous, great singing, great entertainer. As I watched the faces in the activity room I saw happiness and life. Your passion for singing has found it's home. As you know I worked in activities and found myself also. I never thought of it as work, and the days went too fast, always happy ones. I'm sure you already know, how much we get back, by giving. Keep on keeping on, Ginger.

Ginger! has been my hero since I became her friend here on GB.  I think she is marvelous.  I've told her before that her voice reminds me of Linda Eder.  I have some of her recordings and enjoy them very much.  What she does for these folks is so very important and touching.  Bless you Ginger!  I'm proud to call you my friend.

I have the pleasure to also entertain at nursing homes but, so far as I can see, Ginger sets the bar pretty high.  I sing, but not like Ginger!  I play the piano, too.  One of my favorite memories is when I was playing at the Alzheimer's wing of the retirement home, looked up and the patients and staff had formed a "Rockettes" type of dance line, kicking up their legs to the tune of "She's Funny that Way."  Yes, the folks in the homes are just as young in their hearts as they always were...it's just that their bodies and minds are getting a little tired.  Performing for these wonderful people is the most rewarding thing I've ever done in my life.

I admire you so much Ginger!  You are an inspiration to us all.

    Love ya, kid -
    Terry

I am a "new" fan of Gingers, seeing her perform for the first time at Swamp House the night before Thanksgiving. I was just getting over the flu, had company, was cooking and cleaning for the holiday when they "dragged" me out to eat. As we approached the restaurant I could hear the singing and thought "wow, whoever that is is really good!" Once inside the room was electric with Gingers energy and fantastic singing voice. She brought me to life that night, I forgot how tired I was, I thoroughly enjoyed her choice of music, her voice and of course her outfit!! We have been back twice to see her (the two times that she's been there since then) but this time I brought a group along to share the experience. Everyone loved her! I have always been a huge fan of all types of music and appreciate Ginger for her ability to bring a song to life and touch her audience. She not only has the gift of music but that of interacting with people - she is an inspiration and I admire her for the joy she brings to others. In the days following one of her performances I find myself thinking of the songs she sang, her laugh, her smile - she has touched my heart and fills it with glee and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to watch her perform. I did buy her CD's and listen to them often and we're getting a group together to go see her again on January 7th!

I wish Ginger all the best in her career - to me she "has it all" and I look forward to spending more time enjoying that wonderful voice and personality of hers.

    Merry Christmas!

We've seen Ginger! preform many, many times in different settings, and people love her. Seeing her perform at a nursing home has shown us Ginger! in a different light. Her heart is even bigger then we knew. Watching them interact with her and seeing that beam of light in their eyes, no matter how small, lights up the screen. You are very special, God bless!

Lots of Love from 2 fans, Cathy Ann & Lu

I have known Ginger since she was a regular peformance  at Deltona Inn, and have all her CD's.  What a talent, and as stated a true, real, person.  She tells it like it is from her heart.  Her voice (especially Cher Impersonation) is phenomenal.  My only wish is that other venues find out about her, so that she can continue to perform her Magically Music.  So to those of you that like to follow Ginger, we need to contact Cafes, Clubs, VFW's, Elks, etc....lets keep her singing so that she never retires...your friend always.

We've followed Ginger for over 8 years, and she has become a valued personal friend!  Her personality is even better than you were able to show on your short video.   A few months ago, we had her as an entertainer in our active 55 + community. To say she wowed them is an understatement!! Everyone was so enthralled, they forgot to dance for a while!  She is returning for another dance in a couple of weeks, and everyone is talking about her.

I wish more of her beautiful spirituality had been able to show through.    She believes so deeply.

As often as she can, she helps with benefits for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Her CD's are wonderful listening, and her variety of songs is awesome.

    With Love,

    Bob and Clauida

Bill, as usual, your interviewing skills were right on target.

Ginger is an outstanding entertainer and human being.  She is a very caring and talented person.  The combination makes her ideal for entertaining people in Nursing Homes as well as everywhere else.

Through the years, whenever we have had a special birthday, wedding, or anniversary, we have hired her.  She has always done an outstanding job!

We love you Ginger...Sheila, Morris, & Family

Well, I finally got to hear you sing again without having to visit the Villages or playing my CDs.  You are doing such a great job of spreading yourself around...and I'm glad to see you are entertaining in the nursing homes.  I know it is well appreciated.  Thanks guys for bringing Ginger! to the forefront. Everyone should be aware of her extraordinary talents.  (Used to watch you two on WESH....wondered what happened to you.   Glad you are working together.)

    Wonderful story Bill.

Is there any way we can get a copy of this in DVD format for us to show to our residents?

They all are looking forward to seeing it but it comes out too small to see on our computer.

The story was very heartwarming and showed the viewers that nursing homes are not a bad place.

Ginger was wonderful as always....now you can see why we all love her so much.

She is a true entertainer and I hope her career goes way beyond her dreams.

Thanks for giving her and us an oppertunity to be on Growing Boulder.

    Ginger We Love You!!

    Sassy & all your friends....

    From you know where.

Way to go Ginger!  I am so proud and privileged to call Ginger my friend.  She puts herself out there 100 percent in everything she does, and cares tremendously that those who come to see her perform walk away with a smile and good memories of a time well spent.  Thank you for all that you do Ginger, and thank you GrowingBolder for featuring her.  Well done my friend.
