Anyone can find the time to make a difference. Need proof?

Sally Kidd is the senior correspondent for Hearst Television, covering the White House, Congress and federal agencies for the Hearst network of 26 stations.

She's also a triathlete who is about to combine her passions for fitness, travel and adventure into a trek to Africa to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for a great cause.

She says climbing Mount Kilimanjaro just seems like the ultimate challenge.

Sally says her interest in climbing one of the world's tallest mountains was sparked 10 years ago when she interviewed a judge how had just returned. He told her that it didn't require a lot of technical skill, and he had climbed it to celebrate his 50th birthday.

The idea stuck with her.

So this August, just four months before her own 50th birthday, Sally and her friend and fellow triathlete, Tracey Ford, will head to Africa to conquer Mount Kili.

In the meantime, they're training with hikes and camping trips, and keeping up their fitness regimes -- just two months after the climb, they'll both compete in an Ironman triathlon.

Sally says it's important for people to know that she's a "back of the pack" triathlete -- she's usually one of the last to finish a race. But she says that's just proof that anyone can get out there and do what they want to do, including climbing toward the top of the world.

She explains why they've chosen to raise $19,340 for the Global Alliance for Africa and explains how simple it is for you to help them reach their goal.
