Tattoos are no longer taboo. They've gone mainstream in a big way and like just about everything else, the fastest-growing market segment is baby boomers. Come along as Andrea Kudlacz celebrates her 60th birthday by showing how the generation of her youth left a permanent mark on her life.

Andrea got her tattoo at Ascension Custom Dermagraphics in Orlando.

Are you thinking of getting inked yourself? Click here for Growing Bolder's colorful primer on all things tattoo to help make sure you don't regret your decision.

Right on! I totally LOVE this story and am so proud of her for living life according to her own rules.

As a heavily tattooed woman, I certainly have seen discrimination and judgmental attitudes. To each his own. If you don't like tattoos, don't get one... but don't judge a book by its cover either. It's art and expression; and it does NOT change the person you are on the inside. How could it?

Life is just WAY TOO SHORT to not live it! Be that not owning a tattoo, or collecting many...it's a personal choice. Societal pressures, taboos, and "expected behavior?" Sheesh...it's 2010. Life is a canvas, paint it your OWN way!!!

Come on VegasJim,  lighten up a bit. Class is about how you treat
people. How you interact with others. This nice lady exudes class. She chose to put a peace symbol in a discreet place because she "didn't want to be offensive." She sure appears to be neat and clean. Just like In-N-Out burger.

Tattoos still are taboo with anybody who has class. We will not patronize businesses whose employees are showing tattoos. In-N-Out burger wins our business with employees that are neat, clean and tattoo free.
