Chef Walter Staib

Chef Walter Staib is a great example of pursuing your passions — in believing that when you dream big and boldly, success will follow. Staib was working in the upper management at a top hospitality company, on the fast track, when he decided to leave it all behind and start his own company and, of all things, a colonial restaurant.

Today, he’s a James Beard-nominated chef, an author, a world-renowned culinary historian and the Emmy Award-winning TV host of “A Taste of History.” The first step into the future, though, started with a look into the past! Staib joins Growing Bolder for a passionate and inspiring conversation about foods of the founding fathers, business triumphs and tribulations and his message for anyone else thinking of taking a career risk and following their dreams.

All new episodes of A Taste of History, hosted by Chef Walter Staib, air on RLTV on Wednesday at 8pm EST. Starting Monday, August 18, RLTV is all about exploration. Tune in and explore new books, foods, cultures and passions during the Step Out. Explore. programming event.
