One of the most successful pop stars of the 1960s is still making audiences swoon.
With his band The Union Gap, Gary Puckett recorded six consecutive gold records and 10 Top Ten hits in the 1960s. In 1968, the band sold more records than any other group on the planet, including the Beatles.
Songs like “Young Girl,” “Over You,” and “This Girl Is a Woman Now,” rocketed the group to the top of the charts, but The Union Gap disbanded in 1971.
Gary explained to the Growing Bolder Radio Show why members felt they had to part ways and how he’s found a second act with his new band, the Letterman.
