Sol Bleiweis was just 11 years old when Germany invaded his native Poland. He was eventually taken to Auschwitz, where right in front of his eyes, his brother was shot to death. He also watched as his mother, decimated by disease and starvation, dropped down to 50 pounds and then died in his arms.
His story is born in tragedy but ends in the victory of a life well-lived. He is a man who has made a difference and made helping others his priority.
“You can break a person’s body but you can’t break their mind. The will to live is stronger than anything else,” Sol tells Growing Bolder.
He says he wants people to understand that what happened in Germany can happen anywhere in the world, at any time. All it takes is one talented orator to change a nation, for good or evil.
He gives an important reminder of how blessed we are as Americans and how we enjoy freedoms that no one else in the world has.
Listen to his passion for making a difference and encouraging others to spread kindness and hope. No matter what you’ve had to overcome in life yourself, you’ll be inspired by his passion for living and his message of forgiveness and joy.
