Debra Winger

Actress Debra Winger has been turning heads in Hollywood and beyond since the 1980s, with films like Urban CowboyAn Officer and a Gentleman, Terms of Endearment and Shadowlands.

She’s received three Academy Award nominations, starred alongside some of the industry’s biggest names and, after a brief break from acting, returned to the big and small screens to great critical acclaim.

Winger is now in her 60s and starring in a new film The Lovers, as one half of a married couple who discovers what happens when you fall out of — then back into — love. She’s also on screen in a Netflix comedy called The Ranch, as a bar owner who navigates her own dysfunctional family dynamics while dispensing advice to others.

We talk with the star about ageism in Hollywood, how she feels about real-life relationships after the age of 50 and what led her to pick her family over career (and how she mounted a comeback).
